So what's your non-silent roll that's keeping you so busy?
My main function is programming this POS POS System that we inherited along with dealing with the Tech Support Company from the old restaurant. The Tech company did a majority of the programming (at a rather hefty fee), but there is a TON of things that they did wrong or didn't do. And since I'm "a computer guy" everyone expects that I can do everything that they want to the system, and do it immediatly. Since I've never so much as used a POS System let alone program one I asked the Tech people for a user guide or manual for the system and according to them one doesn't exsist (which I find total bullshit)
Besides the POS POS programming I've been cooking (made some yummy sausage ministrone soup Wednesday night), cleaning, I seem to be the only person who has figured out how to change the letters on the changeable copy marquee that we have on the sign, ordering food and liquor, picking up food and liquor and dealing with every fire that pops up (fire being more of a figurative term, although we did have a heat lamp start ablaze last night and I was the only one who had the common sense to say "fire, smoke, turn the damn thing off and pop the fuze. Everybody else started yelling "heat lamps broken!" NO SHIT)
So all of these things have become my responsibility.... and I don't get there till after my second job of the day at 6:00pm!!!
My father-in-law (who has taken a permanent position on his ass at the bar yapping to various customers) had the nerve to give me shit last night when I was walking out the door around 10:30pm. He started in how I had just gotten there at 6:30 and how he's there all day every day dealing with everything and HE needed to leave, not me. I literally snapped and [sarcasm]in a kind and gentle manner [/sarcasm] informed him that I had been working since 2:00am that day and that his postition holding the bar from tumbling to the floor must be difficult as all hell!
But on a plus note, I've decided to quit job #1 that I work from 2:00am - 7:00am, so I might start getting some assemblance of real sleep in the near future!
You're giving up your paper route? How long have you had that?

I started the job at 19 when I realized that I didn't sleep much and I'd seen every episode of Benny Hill, Cheers, the Cosby Show and Star Trek (which was all that was on late night) and figured that getting a second job would cure my boredom and put money in my pocket.
Back then I had 1 route where I delivered 105 Free Press's, and now I've got 4 routes, deliver 875 Free Press's and 160 Wall Street Journals.
Honestly, it's an easy job and if you get a good sized route the money is better then one would expect, so long as you don't cherish sleep or days off.
